FAQ!
Q. How do you charge for your services?
A. We do have an hourly design fee. The design fee is for design concepts, sketches, solutions to the problems, and advice on any purchases. When a product is ordered through the Designer, there is a great deal of time spent on producing purchase orders, ordering cuttings of fabrics, and wall-coverings from current stock for approval. Additionally, time is spent on coordinating deliveries and generally ensuring that the whole process runs smoothly until the item is delivered to the client.
Q. Do you work with any particular style?
A.
We work with many different styles and prefer to help each client create their own signature style. Whether you prefer traditional, transitional, or contemporary to name a few.
Q. Why do I need an Interior Designer if I already have an Architect?
A. Architects and Interior Designers work very differently. Most Architects work with structure and building design and prefer not to work with details of interiors, such as kitchen and bath design, custom cabinetry and built-ins, color schemes, flooring specifications, and wall and window treatments. Designers can create a master plan for the interior of your entire home or office, which can be implemented in stages, as your budget allows.
Q. What is the difference between an Interior Designer and Decorator?
A. A Decorator generally deals with only the decorative furnishing. A Designer usually is trained in interior renovation work, space planning and building detail. Our services are combined, and our work speaks for itself with Architectural Accents you get both, our work is our referral.
Q. Can I get ALL the work I need completed for me?
A. Yes you can! We offer one stop shopping and service. We will supply you with estimates before the work begins and coordinate the entire project with you.
Q. Can I use my own Contractor?
A. Yes! But if you use our Architectural Accents Past & Present affiliated contractor, it will help to facilitate the movement and coordination of your project resulting in a successful / timely renovation. If you have a contractor or another professional you would like to use, we will work closely with them. We can also recommend a general contractor and other trades you may need for your special project.
Q. Do you charge for phone consultation?
A. No, not initially. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your project and your needs.
